Security Is No Joke

It’s 4 AM Sunday morning and the telephone rings. My wife answers and duly informs me that she has a drunk on the line. Three calls later in the space of 10 minutes, including our children, who are now about to have heart attacks, we discover it’s the Alarm Center! Apparently they’ve just received a message from our security system telling them that someone is trying to sabotage our front door. Turned out to be a fault in the system, but who knows what the wife might have found when I sent her downstairs to check it out!

Demand for body worn video shoots up dramatically

Seven years after the initial Home Office sponsored pilot of Body Worn Cameras by Devon and Cornwall police, the use of this technology has increased dramatically in the last year. Until recently, police services had only been using cameras in relatively small numbers but are now adopting this technology on a much larger scale and deploying many hundreds of cameras each. Just two of these recent projects include 244 of Reveal Media's RS3-SX camera systems rolled out by Sussex Police Force and 191 rolled out by Leicestershire Police Force. The French MOI has also just awarded Reveal Media a national tender for the supply of body worn video solutions to police forces in France.

To find out what’s their favourite distraction, Safetica, the provider of employee monitoring software, commissioned a survey, carried out among over 500 employees.

The newest study by Safetica about employees’ online behaviour reveals loosening work ethics, but also that women waste less time online than men.
