Vigilance can confirm authoritatively that detectives from Operation Malone have charged seven people in connection with the incidents of disorder seen across central London in November and December of last year.
Following a decision by the Crown Prosecution Service, the males were charged with a range of offences, including violent disorder and criminal damage. A further five were dealt with by way of caution or reprimand.
Disorder on 9 December
Charlie GILMOUR, 21 of Steele Farm, Lordings Rd, Billinghurst, Sussex is due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrate's Court on 10 February charged with violent disorder and theft of a mannequin leg.
Christopher HILLIARD, 22, of 3 Cranford Rd, Wilmslow, Cheshire and a 17-year-old male also from Cheshire are both due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on 10 February also charged with violent disorder.
The remaining 11 males - all arrested on the day of the disorder they were allegedly involved in - were dealt with as follows: Disorder on 10 November:
A 19-year-old man from SE14 was cautioned for theft. He was arrested by officers from British Transport Police on the 10 November.
Disorder on 24 November:
James CROSS, 26, of 14 Coulgate Street, Lewisham SE4 is due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on 10 February charged with theft of police equipment.
Justin SEY, 28, of 5 Elm Gardens N2 is due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on 10 February charged with criminal damage to a government building.
Kevin WILSON-WEB, 50, of 3A Lexham Mews W8 is due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on 10 February charged with theft of police equipment.
Disorder on 30 November:
A 20-year-old man from E1 was cautioned for assault on a police officer
James JEFFAL, 19, of 247 Steps House, Willesden Lane NW2 is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 10 February charged with Sec 4 Public Order Act - causing fear of unlawful violence
A 18-year-old man from Stanmore was cautioned for criminal damage
A 17-year-old male from SW2 was referred to a Youth Offending Team for a reprimand for criminal damage
A 23-year-old man from SE22 was cautioned for Sec 4 Public Order Act - causing fear of unlawful violence.
