  • DP World Southampton has renewed its security contract with Mitie underpinning its sector expertise in maritime logistics security  
  • As part of the contract renewal, Mitie will continue to provide security services including security personnel, vehicle and personnel security checks, visitor authorisation, intelligence reporting, and crime prevention  
  • The two-year contract extension builds on Mitie’s successful 11-year partnership with DP World 

DP World Southampton, the UK’s leading provider of smart logistics solutions has renewed its contract with Mitie, for a further two years. The contract extension will see Mitie continue to provide essential security services for DP World at the deep-sea container terminal in full compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility security code (ISPS), and the Maritime Security Division (MSD) of the Department of Transport.

Silobreaker has released the findings of its study into how quickly and thoroughly organisations disclose that they have been hit by ransomware. The research looked at 430 known ransomware incidents identified on the Silobreaker platform in the 2022 calendar year, assessing the time lag between the initial attack, the date when the attack was first reported on news sites, blogs, social media and other open-source data platforms, and the date when the organisation confirmed the attack – as well as the date the attack was claimed by a specific ransomware actor.
