Cequence Unified API Protection on HPE GreenLake significantly improves visibility and protection while reducing costs and minimising fraud, business disruption, data losses and non-compliance

LONDON, UK: Cequence Security has announced the Cequence Unified API Protection (UAP) solution is now available on the HPE GreenLake Marketplace, an ecosystem of partners that enables customers to deploy software on the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform. 

The API threat landscape is constantly evolving, and attackers are becoming more sophisticated and API-specific in their tactics. One of the struggles enterprises have with their API Security is securing APIs across the diversity of infrastructure that is prevalent today. Cequence UAP helps solve this problem for HPE GreenLake customers, as UAP has been tested and validated for HPE GreenLake and offers these customers strong API security for their application workloads.

London: The UK government’s Frontier AI Taskforce is establishing an AI safety research team that can research and evaluate risks associated with advanced AI development.

As set out in its first progress report on 7th September this year, the taskforce is working with various leading tech organisations, including RAND, ARC Evals, and Trail of Bits. Since then, the taskforce has also partnered with another three leading technical organisations: Advai, Gryphon Scientific and Faculty AI.

On Tuesday 26 September 2023, Stephen Simmonds from Ballymena was prosecuted at Laganside Magistrates’ Court.

He pleaded guilty to supplying illegal security to Belfast venues as well as failing to inform the Security Industry Authority (SIA) of his change of address.

The court fined Simmonds £700 and ordered him to pay £100 court costs and £135 prosecutions costs. The prosecution was brought by the SIA. This prosecution relates to two recent SIA prosecutions of Alan Agnew and Ryan Wilkinson. The cases began when the SIA’s investigators and officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland carried out two planned inspections of venues in Belfast’s night-time economy on 28 September 2022 and 03 October 2022.
