However, there should be an awareness of how businesses will source the right people from the technology talent pool based on current culture and trends. The demand of IT skills has led to many experienced people moving from permanent employment into the freelance market, which needs to be accounted for in future tax plans.

Leading comedian to perform during this year’s ECA Industry Awards Dinner

Popular comedian and TV personality Alastair McGowan is to perform at this year’s ECA Industry Awards Dinner, which is set for Friday 8 June. McGowan is perhaps best known for his hit BBC show ‘The Big Impression’, which won a BATFA in 2003, and previously for his voice-overs on ITV’s ground breaking satire ‘Spitting Image’. Alistair is also an active supporter of renewable energy.

Tenable Announces Expansion of its Research Team

New data science team formed to help organizations close the Cyber Exposure Gap

Tenable has announced the expansion of Tenable Research, an expert team of cybersecurity researchers and data scientists focused on transforming vulnerability data into strategic insights which help organizations manage, measure and ultimately reduce cyber risk. The existing vulnerability research team is joined by a newly created data science team which will work together, alongside the security community at large, to reduce the Cyber Exposure gap, which is defined as an organization’s inability to understand and accurately represent its Cyber Exposure at any given time. Tenable Research will leverage its deep vulnerability expertise to identify new vulnerabilities, publish vulnerability checks within Nessus and Tenable.io to help customers rapidly detect issues, leverage these insights to drive more effective processes and technology usage, and fuel new product innovation and capabilities including benchmarking.

Stamp prices increase and the UK Businesses

On Monday 26thMarch 2018, the price of a first-class stamp for a standard letter will increase from 65p to 67p, and a second-class stamp will go from 56p to 58p.

When you consider that in 2005, the price of a first-class stamp was just 21p - you can see why so many people/and business are infuriated about these price hikes.
