Commenting on the tube strikes this morning, Kevin Linsell, Head of Service Development at Adapt said:
"Although we have union action every year, this tube strike has hit London hard. Tubes are at a standstill, stations are closed and many individuals across London can’t get into work. Although the days of clunky work-from-home solutions should be far behind us, many businesses have struggled to implement successful alternatives and are finding themselves (and their staff) unable to work."What businesses really need is a highly efficient, scalable way of keeping operational during this time. Desktop as a Service (DaaS), for example allows companies to be prepared with flexible and inexpensive virtual desktop environments that can be accessed by everyone, regardless of location. Users are able to immediately gain appropriate remote access to systems from any Internet-capable device, from computers and laptops to tablets and mobile phones. UK businesses will need to embrace the DaaS trend to ensure that incidents and activities like this in the future have zero or minimal impact on their productivity."
