Were you present at the scene of the above accident in Kingston? If you were, then your eye witness account will no doubt be very useful as the police are appealing for witnesses following that fatal road traffic collision.
Vigilance learnt that after the accident, Officers were called at approx 1640hrs on Friday, 8 April to reports of a road traffic collision in Fairfields South, Kingston.
The police report says at this early stage it is believed a motorcycle was travelling along Fairfields South when it lost control near the junction with Dudley Road. It is not thought any other vehicle was involved in the collision.
Vigilance also learnt that LAS and HEMS also attended the scene and a man, aged 50, was taken to St Georges Hospital suffering injuries. He died in hospital on 9 April.
The next of kin have been informed and the deceased has been formally identified as Marc Cleverly (dob 21.07.60), from Chessington.
Vigilance learnt a post mortem is still to be scheduled.
The grieving Marc’s family said: “Marc will always be a much loved and respected man. He had the gift of making everyone feel special and will always be remembered for being a true craftsman.”
