Contracts and Procurement

InterserveLast April, Interserve, the international support services and construction group, signed a £108 million, two-year extension to its South East Regional Prime contract with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), formerly Defence Estates.  The contract will now run to 31 March 2014 in alignment with the start of the Next Generation Estate Contracts (NGEC).

Vigilance learnt that PriDE, Interserve’s joint venture company, will continue to deliver estate management and construction services at 106 locations in London and south-east England covering over 6,000 building and facilities.  This includes RAF High Wycombe, RAF Northolt, the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst, Horse Guards, Buckingham Palace, St James’s Palace, the Cavalry Barracks and the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Headley Court.

Adrian Ringrose, Interserve’s Chief Executive, said: “Since the contract began in 2005 we have achieved a great deal including the development of an £8 million, state-of-the-art rehabilitation complex at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Headley Court, Surrey, co-funded by Help for Heroes.  By continuing our partnering approach we have been able to reshape the contract so that it continues to provide value for money and the best possible service to meet the DIO’s current and future needs.”
