The British Security Industry Association (BSIA) has announced the regional winners of this year’s Annual Security Personnel Awards, Vigilance can confirm.
A spokesperson for the BSIA said the awards which are now in their fourteenth year have continued to recognise the excellent work and vital contribution that those working in the security industry are making across the country, and are presented in the following categories: Service to the Customer, Outstanding Act, Best Newcomer, Best Use of Technology and Best Team.
According to the BSIA’s spokesperson each of the regional winners will receive an award certificate at BSIA presentations that will take place in the coming months, and will then be put forward to the national judging phase, adding he national winners will be announced at the BSIA’s Annual Luncheon on the 27th June at the London Hilton, Park Lane.
Trevor Elliott, Director of Manpower and Membership Services at the BSIA said: "The high calibre of nominations received this year made it particularly challenging to appoint our winners. For this reason in 2012 we have a particularly high number of winners, with many regions having more than one per category.”
Elliott added: “It is a source of pride for the BSIA to be associated with such incredible talent in our industry, and I would like to thank Camberford Law plc – specialist insurance brokers to the security industry – for making these awards possible, having sponsored them since their inception. I look forward to meeting and congratulating the winners in person.”
