SIA weeds out bad eggs!

The Security Industry Authority recently went to town with its winnowing fork to separate the chaff from the wheat.

At the end of that thorough scrutiny and investigation, the SIA’s hammer fell on organisations listed below and they are no longer approved by the Authority for the activities (sectors) stated.

Vigilance’s investigative team learnt that approval may have been withdrawn for any of the reasons detailed in Section 2.3 of the ACS terms and conditions. These fall into five summary categories:

No assessment undertaken
Non-conformance with the ACS Standard
Non-compliance with the Private Security Industry Act 2001
Fit & proper requirements not met
Other breach of ACS terms and conditions

According to the SIA each entry below includes the relevant category of withdrawal and where more than one category applies the primary reason for withdrawal is given.

Vigilance however, learnt that organisations that have had their approval withdrawn can submit a new ACS application. If this subsequent application is successful, they will not appear on the list below.
