Global MSC Security today announced that its annual conference and exhibition will focus on Integrating Technologies, specifically how Police forces can capitalise on security technologies used by local authority control rooms and more importantly the streaming of CCTV footage. In its 12th year, the free-to-attend seminar takes place on 14th November 2017, at The Bristol Hotel in Bristol city centre.
The conference programme includes presentations from…
- PCC Dafydd Llywelyn, Dyfed Powys Police - Safe and Secure Environments – a case study in linking 15 towns’ public space CCTV controlled from the one centre
- Bernadette Bashford-Payne, Canary Wharf - End-user Experience - CCTV in a Modern-Day Control Room
- Prof. William Webster, Director, Centre for Research into Information, Surveillance and Privacy (CRISP) 15 - Body-Worn Video Cameras and Public Services
- Jim Burgess, Perform Green - Challenges and Outcomes of Integrating CCTV in Bristol's Smart City
- Edward Heath, Avon & Somerset Police Cyber Crime Unit - Cyber Crime – a Law Enforcement perspective
- Tony Porter, Surveillance Camera Commissioner - The National Surveillance Camera Strategy for England and Wales
Derek Maltby, MD of Global MSC Security says: “There is an important and largely untapped opportunity, for Police forces to take advantage of the investments made by local authorities in to their CCTV networks. For example, it is possible to stream camera footage to Police officers wherever they are, be it a crime scene, on-foot or in a vehicle, the custody suite, or the command and control centre.” He adds: “At the conference this year we will be helping the two parties to come together, to be enlightened to the possibilities. We will link end-users who are actively in the market to purchase security products with suppliers and integrators looking to supply their products and services to our clients.”
Running alongside the conference will be an exhibition including headline sponsor Genetec and event sponsors Bosch, Meyertech, Silent Sentinal, wcctv and 360 Vision Technology. Other exhibitors include AMG, Commend, Comtrol, Digital Barriers, eyevis UK Ltd, Honeywell, IndigoVision, Mytec, Pivot 3, Purdicom, Qognify, RCCU, Redvision, SilverNet, Synectics, The Linx International Group, The Security Institute, Thinking Space and Vicon.
Taking place on 13th November will be the Global MSC Security Charity Gala Dinner, where the winner of the Gordon McLanaghan Security Innovation Award will receive £1,000 and the prestigious Bristol Blue Glass trophy. The evening hopes to raise more than the £2000 for the Bristol Children’s Hospital’s Grand Appeal.
