Geoff Cumbley’s ‘Free Spirit’ tells of soldier’s life-changing journey through wars, new career paths

In the new book from author Geoff Cumbley titled “Free Spirit” (published by AuthorHouse UK), former soldier Jesse Wells must find it in himself to make decisions that could cost him a heavy price.
Born in the state of Virginia in 19th- century America, Jesse fought in the Civil War and survived. He then moved to the Black Hills of present-day South Dakota to serve as a scout in the American-Indian War.
When his military service comes to an end, Jesse finds a new purpose as a businessman, making connections with heavy hitters in the industry, where women play a pivotal role.
Along his life-changing journey, this former soldier must juggle life-altering choices while also keeping his composure in the cutthroat business world.
About the Author
Geoff Cumbley was born in Worcester, England at the beginning of World War II. Following his education in the city, he was employed in industry for slightly more than a decade. He then served in the Royal Air Force for 22 years. Upon completing his service, he entered a career in security. Cumbley has traveled to the United States, Canada, the Middle and Far East, numerous resorts on the Mediterranean and throughout the United Kingdom itself. Now retired, he resides in Worcester with his wife. They have two daughters and three grandchildren. “Free Spirit” is Cumbley’s second published book, after “Tarnished Heroes.” His third book, titled “Times of Destiny,” is currently in the process of being published.
