When it comes to innovations, ATEC Security is first amongst equals! With its innovative access control portal, site access can now be quickly and easily controlled.
Vigilance learnt that the ACP is ideal for temporary sites, such as construction sites, summer festivals or sporting events, the container can be transported, relocated and set up quickly.
The portal, housed in a solid steel freight container, has turnstiles operated by access cards and the latest CCTV over IP integrated into the box, providing full access control into and out of any site. On average it takes five seconds for an individual to swipe their access card and go through and the turnstile to lock fully again.
Within the 6m x 3m x 3m container are three bi-directional turnstiles providing six lanes of controlled access with MiFare Desfire access card reader points. This means that approximately 700 people can enter per turnstile every hour, or 4,200 per ATEC container.
With one external connection for power and one for IP network connectivity, the ATEC container is quick and simple to set up with minimal wiring requirements. The control system also allows entrants to access via a portal on one side of the site and exit via another as the portals can be networked together. The ATEC system also enables access cards to be printed on site, following web form completion and ID checks.
Flexible and resilient CCTV cameras can be installed internally as well as externally to monitor the immediate area surrounding the ATEC container. The cameras have ACF (activity controlled frame rate) functionality allowing them to drop to a very low bandwidth when there is no activity and return to full frame rate within 100 milliseconds upon motion detection, which drastically reduces storage requirements. Images are recorded on a one terabyte network video recorder, providing redundant storage that can be allocated flexibly between cameras. To comply with home office regulations, ATEC ensures that all images are retained for 31 days.
