Savills selects Azzurri for new network and managed service contract

International real estate advisor Savills has chosen Azzurri Communications to implement and manage a new Wide Area Network (WAN) across its 80 UK branches. The three year contract will see all connectivity, IP telephony and associated applications run over Azzurri’s Intelligent Cloud-Optimised Network (ICON) platform, to help Savills reduce complexity and operate more cost effectively. ICON, introduced to the market in late 2011, is Azzurri’s flagship virtual network, which aggregates and manages connectivity and services from over 20 best of breed communication providers.

One in four people are prone to using text words instead of normal English

A survey from SecurEnvoy has found that text phrases - such as C U L8r, LOL etc – have become so much part of our daily lives that one in four Brits claim they are Textlexic – prone to using text words instead of normal English. Nearly 60% think text, instant messages and social media are changing how we write – and more than 40% think they are compromising their children’s ability to write correctly.
