Over 400 delegates expected to attend Europe’s flagship InfoSec education event

London, UK: SANS London 2012, Europe’s largest InfoSec training event, has announced its final schedule offering 15 courses covering intrusion detection, penetration testing, auditing, management and compliance as well as new additions around security within virtualised and cloud environments. SANS London is also moving to a new home at the Grand Connaught Rooms in vibrant Covent Garden for the annual event which runs from the 26th of November to the 3rd of December.

London, UK: Securicorp Components has brought video analytics to the market based on industry need and over the years, especially with IP systems, there have been some wider applications. For instance, the POS (point of sale) video analytic was applied to a Toll Road in the west of the country. The testing has been successful and the roll out will continue once the test is completed. In retail the application is not so built around saving any particular time in speeding up the transaction but as a loss prevention measure.

Netop releases updates to Remote Control App for Mobile Support Personnel

London, UK: Netop has announced an update to its Remote Control application, Netop Remote Control Mobile for iOS, which improves usability and security for mobile support personnel. The application, available for download from Apple’s App Store for iPhone and iPad devices, provides support teams with real-time screen transfer and control over the keyboard and mouse of any machine running a compatible version of the Netop Remote Control host on Windows desktop and server operating systems. The updates optimise the app for use on the recently released iOS 6 and compatible devices, including the iPhone 5 and the new iPad.
