New API threat research outcome out

LONDON, UK: Salt Security has released new API threat research from Salt Labs that highlights an API security vulnerability discovered on a large online cryptocurrency wallet platform. Serving two million users worldwide, the platform provides a wide range of services enabling customers to buy and exchange cryptocurrencies online. The API security flaw discovered by Salt Labs, tied to external authentication logins, could allow for large-scale account takeover (ATO) attacks on any customer’s account. The vulnerability could have allowed for hundreds of millions to be stolen from crypto currency wallets.

Murder investigation launched in Newham

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Beckton.

Police were called at 15:49hrs on Saturday, 2 July to reports of a disturbance at a residential address in Newark Knok, E6. Officers attended and found a 39-year-old man who was unresponsive. He was given first aid until the arrival of London Ambulance Service paramedics. Despite the efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 17:00hrs.The Met's Specialist Crime Command is investigating and his death is being treated as suspicious.
