Ottawa, Canada: Senstar has announced two major government approvals of their industry leading perimeter intrusion detection sensors; Senstar’s Intelli-Flex with the United Kingdom’s Centre for Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) and OmniTrax with the United States Air Force.
Reacting to a report from the US Inspector General’s office on the effects of BYOD (bring your own devices) on US military data security – and which found that military command was unaware of more than 14,000 mobile devices in active use across the US Army – Voltage Security says this is a classic example of what happens on the data security front in very large organisations.
London, UK: Reacting to reports in the New York Times and Guardian newspapers on the leaking of wealth and tax arrangements data on 120,000 companies - plus 130,000 high net worth individuals and their financial agents – Varonis Systems says that this highlights the need for organisations to know who is accessing their data internally. Trusteer recently discovered several fraud schemes targeting a large European bank which revealed that there is a sharp increase in the use of mobile devices to conduct account takeover fraud. Even more interesting, the bank experienced fraud that originated from their mobile channel.
