46% of employees admit to bypassing security to get their job done

Meanwhile, 40% admitted that if they were breached no one would notice

Cupertino, CA & London: Research conducted by Voltage Security, the world leader in data-centric security, found that while an overwhelming 85% of employees say that security has added value to their company, half of employees say their job is hindered because they aren’t getting access to all the information they need. With over half of respondents working for large organisations - the majority employing more than 5,000 people - employees are faced with a no-win situation. Forty percent of those questioned report simply giving up, resulting in lost sales opportunities, while a resilient 46% are pressured into circumventing security controls to close an opportunity.

Skyscape hails Public Cloud First Policy of the UK Government

The new mandate will require all central Government departments to purchase IT through the G-Cloud Framework

London: Skyscape Cloud Services Limited, the easy to adopt, easy to use and easy to leave Assured Cloud Services Company, has reacted to the recently announced ‘Public Cloud First’ mandate, which has been confirmed by the Public Expenditure Cabinet Committee. The policy, which has come into force with immediate effect, will require all central Government departments to purchase IT directly from the G-Cloud Framework, and is part of the Government’s commitment to position cloud services as the primary channel through which public sector organisations procure IT.
