Barracuda Networks expands Copy for Companies

San Francisco, Calif.: VMworld Conference 2013 – Barracuda Networks, Inc., a leading provider of security and storage solutions, has announced an expanded Copy for Companies to further meet the needs of businesses using its Copy file sync and share service. New features include additional security capabilities, company visibility into employee accounts, and better control over incoming shared data. The release also includes improvements to the overall user interface (UI), the admin page, and folder management.Barracuda is demonstrating Copy as part of its Cloud Evolved strategy in booth #617 at VMworld 2013 this week in San Francisco.

The New York Times hack is in fact a DNS service breach

Barry Shteiman, Senior Security Strategist at Imperva dissects the New York Times hack and says:

Based on available resources, The New York Times hack is in fact a DNS service breach. If you go directly to NYT via their IP Address, the site is up and running. This is unfortunately a validation to a prolonged security problem inherited in the way that companies rely on 3rd public services to conduct their business. While a company like NYT may be able to secure their own platforms, harden their systems and regularly check for vulnerable components on premise – it is a much harder practice when some of that infrastructure is provided by a third party like an ISP or a DNS Hoster.
