Skyguard – Europe’s premier personal safety service for lone workers, has become the first Alarm Receiving Centre in the UK to be awarded the prestigious ‘Secured by Design’ accreditation, Vigilance can report.
Last week the MoD awarded a £367 million contract to provide engine maintenance for two of the UK’s helicopter fleets.
According to a source at the MoD the six-year agreement, with Rolls Royce Turbomeca will deliver essential support for the Army’s Apaches and the Merlin helicopters used by the Royal Navy and RAF. It is believed the new contract will deliver savings of more than £300m compared to previous arrangements.
