Elmdene generates surge of interest in switch mode power supplies at IFSEC Arabia

Innovative electronic security and fire products manufacturer, Elmdene International Limited - a subsidiary of Potter Electric Signal, LLC - is well on track to secure major orders, and sign-up distributors, for its highly efficient and reliable switch mode PSUs (Power Supplies) following the company's first attendance at the IFSEC & OSH Arabia exhibition held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, at the end of last month (November). In fact, Elmdene reckons that two-thirds of the visitors who came to its stand generated 'high quality leads' - a figure well in excess of pre-show predictions.

Solent NHS chooses Skyguard to protect over 700 community-based staff

Solent NHS Trust have chosen Skyguard to protect 700 of their lone working staff, after conducting a thorough OJEU tender process, Vigilance can reveal.

The Trust provides specialist community and mental health services to local people, principally in the Portsmouth and Southampton area with some services reaching across a wider part of Hampshire. Due to the nature of the services provided there is a significant proportion of their 3800+ staff who work in the community, often alone. Recent alarming statistics show 21% of NHS mental health staff across England and Wales have reported at least one physical assault in the past year. Simon Zammit, Solent NHS Trust’s Local Security Management Specialist, was entrusted to implement appropriate, effective lone worker protection to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the Trust’s community-based clinical staff.
