London, UK: Six Degrees has appointed Chris Dunning-Walton to its advisory team. Chris joined the Six Degrees advisory team on 1st January 2023.
Chris is currently CEO and Managing Partner of Sentients, a boutique international executive search firm that focuses on placing Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and other cyber leaders with FTSE 250 enterprises. He is also CEO of InfoSec People Ltd, a multi-award-winning cyber security recruitment consultancy, and the founder and director of CyNam, the UK’s largest Cyber Cluster focused on cyber tech industry development, innovation, and inclusive talent enablement in Cheltenham and Gloucestershire.
The efforts of Channel Partner Manager Gwen Curran and Technical Support Manager Jon Hooley recognised in annual awards
Poole, UK: TDSi has honoured two members of its team in its annual Staff Recognition Awards – Channel Partner Manager North, Gwen Curran, and Technical Support Manager, Jon Hooley. The awards recognise Gwen and Jon’s respective contributions to TDSi, its partners, and customers over the last 12 months.
John Davies, Managing Director of TDSi who presented the awards commented, “We are delighted to highlight the considerable contributions by Gwen and Jon over the last year. Gwen has driven highly impressive sales growth across the northern part of the UK and comfortably smashed all her KPIs, ensuring a great start to 2023 as a result. Gwen Curran is the face of TDSi’s operations across the north of the UK and is a crucial part of the company’s partner offering for both sales and support. Jon Hooley is a key part of TDSi’s Technical Support and also its partner training programme, which re-launched face-to-face training again in 2022 with enhanced facilities at its Poole Headquarters, as well as its Security Technology Showcases in Dubai and Bahrain to deliver this to security installers, specifiers, and distributors in the Middle East. Jon commented, “I am honoured to have been given this award. As security systems become more complex and integrated it is essential that our partners and customers have access to the right support and advice, and we look forward to extending this even further in 2023.”
The awards round off a remarkable 12 months for TDSi as John Davies added, “Although special recognition has been given to Gwen and Jon for their unique contributions to TDSi, I am also very proud of the TDSi team as a whole. We celebrated our 40th Anniversary in 2022 and it was an exceptional year of growth and rebuilding for our business and that of our partners following the considerable challenges of the previous two years. London: The Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), the Bank of England’s watchdog, has warned of “gaps” and “limitations” in cyber modelling and response in a letter to major insurers.
The PRA investigated 54 insurance firms alongside 21 syndicates at Lloyds insurance requesting an assessment of their ability to prevent, react, and respond to major crises including cyber-attacks to prepare for periods of “high volatility and uncertainty.”
