A10 Networks extends Advanced Application delivery and security with Microsoft Azure

SAN JOSE, Calif.: A10 Networks has announced its virtual application delivery controller (ADC) appliance, vThunder ADC, is now available as a Virtual Machine (VM) image on the Azure Marketplace. The vThunder VM offers dynamic “application-aware” services, including advanced L4-7 load balancing, application acceleration and improved-security in an all-in-one virtual instance. Unifying vThunder with Azure enables extensibility and consistent policies across customers’ physical, virtual and cloud computing environments, rapid provisioning, and on-demand access to computing resources. Customers have the flexibility to choose from “Pay-as-You-Go” and Bring Your Own License (BYOL) license model.

Industry IT security shortfalls persist

A recent survey conducted by industrial connector specialist Electroustic revealed industry’s unsustainable approach to information security. The survey showed a pressing lack of information about the most common security risks in an age where industrial internet and remote data access are steadily being implemented on the factory floor. An impressive 34 per cent of respondents said their companies don’t have an information security policy.
