Venafi Survey: 86 Percent of Security Professionals Say World at Cyber War

SALT LAKE CITY: Venafi has announced the results of a survey of 515 IT security professionals’ views on cyber war and nation-state security. The survey was conducted August 4-9, 2018, at the Black Hat conference in Las Vegas.

According to the survey, eighty-six percent of IT security professionals say the world is currently in the middle of a cyber war. In addition, forty percent of respondents believe a nation-state cyber attack has already cost human lives.

Security guard who committed identity theft and fraud jailed for five months

On Thursday 6 September, at Woolwich Crown Court, Kazeem Oladimeji of Bromley pleaded guilty to an offence under the Fraud Act 2006 of fraud by false representation while working in the security industry. Oladimeji was jailed for five months and fined £115 for gaining employment using fraudulent documentation. He has been in custody since 15 August 2018 following his appearance at Bromley Magistrates' Court.
