The ATF isn’t all bad. In fact, they had a policy of letting illegal gun purchases go between 2006 and 2011. It ended up getting U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry killed on December 14, 2010, and let Mexican criminals get enough guns that they were found at over 150 crime scenes where Mexican citizens were either killed or maimed. And some of the guns were used in the November 2015 terrorist attack in Paris at the Bataclan. But other than that, it turned out just fine.

With Christmas fast approaching, businesses will soon be closed and unmanned for several days, presenting an opportunity for thieves to capitalise. Increased security measures to combat the threat of criminal activity against premises is therefore high on the agenda of many business owners. During seasonal breaks there is an increased risk that criminals may go unseen and stake out targets.

SERIES: THERE IS FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN...
(Ezekiel 14:12-23).
Every nation, therefore, should create and observe a NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER, REPENTANCE, DEDICATION/REDEDICATION AND THANKSGIVING. In light of this, the West African State of Nigeria may convert its national day, October 1 to a National Day of Prayer, Repentance, Dedication/Rededication and Thanksgiving, instead of continuing with the usual and pointless jamboree, wasting money for nothing, but enriching a few crooks. A word is enough, even for the wise nation.

They're simple and straightforward, and mostly pretty obvious - perhaps that's why so many people overlook them!
SECURE WINDOWS AND DOORS
It feels almost embarrassing to call this a tip, but how many of you actually, physically, do the walk, check these entry points by pushing against them, especially (but not exclusively) on the ground floor? Probably the majority of thefts occur when someone tests a window, finds it either unlocked or on its last hinges, and just has to prise it open. Use steel screens for particularly vulnerable properties. Check perimeter fencing too. Walk the walk!
