Passbolt Secures $8 Million Series A to Secure Password Collaboration, Modernise Access Management for Teams

Funding will be used to accelerate open source development and meet complex security and regulatory requirements

LUXEMBOURG: Passbolt, a new type of credential and access manager for organisations of all sizes, has announced it has raised $8 million in Series A financing for its all-in-one open source-based collaborative password and access software.

The company was founded in December 2016. Previous funding was pre-seed of $620,000 in December 2018 and $3.1 million seed funding that closed in January 2021.

London, UK: AI-generated attacks are the biggest cyber security worry for UK SMEs this year, according to Mapping the UK SME Cyber Security Landscape in 2025, a new piece of independent research commissioned by Six Degrees, the secure, integrated cloud services provider. Over a third of respondents (35%) cited AI-related threats as their top concern, outranking malware (25%), scams and other fraud (25%), phishing (25%), and ransomware (23%).

Mindgard Raises $8M to Safeguard AI with Industry-First AI Security Solution

The funding will accelerate R&D and propel Mindgard’s expansion into the U.S.

LONDON & BOSTON: Mindgard has announced an $8 million funding round and the appointment of two industry leaders to the roles of Head of Product and VP of Marketing. The funding was led by .406 Ventures with participation from Atlantic Bridge, Willowtree Investments and existing investors IQ Capital and Lakestar. The new executives, Dave Ganly, a former Director of Product at Twilio, and Fergal Glynn, who most recently served as CMO at Next DLP (acquired by Fortinet), will play a critical role in the company’s product development and launch Mindgard’s expansion into the North American market with a leadership presence in Boston.
