Vigilance can confirm that the Royal Navy’s Sea King Mk 7 Force yesterday completed their 1000th operational mission in Afghanistan. Sea King helicopter Squadrons from Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose which have been operating from Camp Bastion since 2009 have contributed to the confiscation of significant amounts of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) making equipment, arms, drugs and the detainment of suspected insurgents.
