SAN FRANCISCO : New research from email security company Tessian and the Ponemon Institute reveals that nearly 60% of organizations experienced data loss or exfiltration caused by an employee mistake on email in the last 12 months. Email was revealed as the riskiest channel for data loss in organizations, as stated by 65% of IT security practitioners. This was closely followed by cloud file-sharing services (62%) and instant messaging platforms (57%).

Even as IT professionals focus more on data security policies, most do not follow data backup best practices, putting organisations at risk
Manchester, UK: Apricorn has announced new findings from the Apricorn 2022 Global IT Security Survey, which revealed that while the majority organisations have data backup plans in place, data for many are at risk. Apricorn surveyed nearly 400 veteran IT security practitioners in industries such as healthcare, IT, education, financial services and manufacturing about security practices around remote and hybrid work, focusing on data resiliency—the availability to access and resuscitate corporate data in the event of a ransomware occurrence or other cybersecurity attack.
