Clavister is to open a new research and development centre in Umeå, northern Sweden, focusing on developing Clavister’s technologies to meet market demand for next-generation security solutions to protect carrier-grade networks, smart cities and Internet of Things.
The centre will also house an expanded service and support team to serve the needs of the company’s growing customer and partner base. The new offices are close by the internationally renowned University of Umeå and less than 100 km from Clavister HQ in Örnsköldsvik, as Clavister looks to attract Sweden’s best technical talent to the company.
Jim Carlsson, CEO of Clavister, said: “This strategic investment will ensure Clavister continues to innovate in delivering best-in-class security solutions to the market, and the highest level of support to our existing customers. The proximity to the University of Umeå will ensure that we are well positioned to attract some of Sweden’s most talented technical and engineering staff, as we look to continue to deliver security solutions that the market requires, both now and in the future.”
Earlier this year Clavister announced a 50% expansion of its research and development team, as well as new additions to its Quality Assurance and Customer Support teams as the company looks to extend its solution range, and meet the demands of its expanding enterprise and carrier-level customer base.
