UK: SANS Dubai 2013, the Gulf Region’s largest InfoSec training event has opened for online registration. The event will be held at the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah resort from October 26th till November 7th 2013 with a roster of courses covering hacker techniques, incident handling, and computer forensic investigations.
Dubai will debut a new course to the region in DEV522: Defending Web Applications Security Essentials. This course helps students better understand web application vulnerabilities and properly defend web assets. “What you don’t know about web app defense is most likely killing you and you wouldn’t know it,” said Michael Malarkey of Bank of America after taking DEV522.
Dubai 2013 will also host SANS Security 504: Hacker Techniques, Exploits & Incident Handling. Taught by James Lyne, a SANS EMEA Director and Director of Technology Strategy at security firm Sophos; the six day course is aimed at helping information security professionals understand attackers' tactics and design a comprehensive incident handling plan. This plan includes the legal issues associated with responding to computer attacks, including employee monitoring, working with law enforcement, and handling evidence.
The event is rounded off by the popular SEC542: Web App Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking course with Dave Shackleford and FOR408: Computer Forensic Investigations - Windows In-Depth, taught by Jess Garcia.
