The Quintessentially Group reduces CAPEX through innovative leasing solution
help4IT Ltd, a leading provider of outsourced IT, helpdesk, consultancy and Cloud IT services has announced details of its work for The Quintessentially Group that has helped to deliver high value IT backed by comprehensive support and consultancy.
The Quintessentially Group is composed of 32 luxury sister businesses that cover every facet of the luxury lifestyle market. Unique in their own field, each business utilises Quintessentially’s massive global network, securing the very best suppliers and offering preferential rates and expert advice in every field, from Travel to Real Estate, Wine to Publishing.
With offices in over 60 countries and over a 1000 staff, Quintessentially Group still manages the bulk of its IT using a small team based in its London headquarters. To meet the needs of such a diverse mix of businesses, users and geographic locations – the group uses innovative IT processes and smart sourcing of goods and services. One such practice to reduce CAPEX yet still have access to modern IT equipment is through leasing.
As Eusebio Echevarria, IT and Compliance Officer explains, “Even with leased equipment, you still need a technically adept and skilled partner to ensure that the equipment all works together and to help design a build-out – this is where we turned to help4IT for assistance.”
With the initial phase requiring 50 desktop PC’s, several servers and implementation of a critical virtualisation platform, The Group contracted help4IT to provide both technical consultancy and implementation services to support its internal IT department. “The project was completed in just two months, on time and within budget,” explains Echevarria, “and much of the success was due to the team at help4IT acting as an effective third line support resource around VMware, Linux and other integration issues.”
help4IT have continued its relationship with Quintessentially Group for several years now and Echevarria believes that the relationship has been extremely beneficial. “We have confidence in the team at help4IT,” he comments, “They are extremely technical and have been able to help us with a wide range of challenges over the years.” The Group is now working with help4IT on several new projects including an upgrade to its mass email system using Linux based systems.
