Octavian Security is celebrating a record breaking 2014 by adding nine new awards to its trophy cabinet. The impressive haul is made up of company-wide wins, as well as notable individual accolades for CEO and founder Sukhi Ghuman - and has seen the firm triple last year’s awards total.
Octavian’s international accolades include the IBBF International Business of the Year Award, which sees experts from the Indo British Business Forum recognise business growth and success. On a personal level, Sukhi was also named a Bronze Winner in the Executive of the Year category at the International Business Awards, also known as the ‘International Stevie’s’, one of the world’s most coveted business honours set across 60 nations.
Also crowned winners of the Business of the Year at the British Indian Awards, Octavian has gone from strength to strength since their formation in 2003, helping to not only shape the modern security industry landscape, but also change the poor perception of the sector that had arisen over the past years.
Speaking on the award-winning year, Sukhi said: “When I formed Octavian, I set out to create a company that would provide the very best security services around. We’ve had our fair share of challenges, but each one has helped us grow as a business and it’s always great to have this success recognised.”
A finalist for the Nottinghamshire Chamber Awards Entrepreneur of the Year and The Sikh Awards Entrepreneur of the Year, Sukhi was also shortlisted for the Asian Achievement Awards, highlighting his prominent influence in the British-Asian Business community.
Sukhi added: “The award nominations haven’t stopped coming this year and what’s more impressive is the diverse scope of categories that we have featured in. From business awards to cultural success, these accolades demonstrate our business acumen and innovate thinking in the best way possible and the Octavian team deserves full credit for their achievements.”
Octavian and Sukhi also made a significant impression at the MSDUK Supplier of the Year Awards, the UK’s leading non-profit membership organisation for inclusive procurement, nominated as finalists for the Innovation, Responsible Business and Entrepreneur of the Year categories.
