Intelligence Policing

It is quite shocking and thoroughly embarrassing when an arrester is now the arrested. Very shameful indeed, that someone who has been trained with taxpayers' money to enforce the laws of the land, keep the peace is now the one in the dock!

In light of the foregoing, Vigilance can authoritatively report that a member of MPS police staff has been charged with theft and money laundering offences following a proactive operation by DPS officers.

An MPS source said Stephen Bowers (18.08.55), a member of MPS police staff, was charged on Tuesday 24, January 2012 with theft of MPS property and money laundering offences.

Also, Vigilance learnt that Elizabeth Bowers (15.03.49) was charged on Tuesday, 24 January 2012 with handling stolen goods and money laundering offences.

Our Intelligence and Policing Team gathered that they have both been bailed to attend to City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday, 3 February 2012
