LONDON: Trusteer, a recognised leader by industry analysts for web fraud prevention, today announced that it will present a free webinar on Monday, July 2nd at 11:00am Eastern Time that provides a detailed overview of the threats that the financial fraud campaign dubbed “Operation High Roller” by McAfee and Guardian Analytics poses to banks. Amit Klein, Trusteer CTO and head of the Trusteer Cybercrime Intelligence service, will demonstrate how these cyber-attacks use well-practiced methods that have been observed and analysed by the company’s researchers for the past few years. Mr. Klein will also explain how Trusteer Rapport and Trusteer Pinpoint currently protect banks and their customers from this attack.

“The ‘Dissecting Operation High Roller’ paper describes the use of Man in the Browser (MitB) financial malware like Zeus and SpyEye to inject sophisticated HTML and JavaScript into a bank’s web pages just before the pages are rendered by the victim’s browser,” said Amit Klein, CTO of Trusteer. “In this webinar I will demonstrate the risks that these attacks pose to banks and the MitB malware tricks and techniques they use. We will explain how our customers are protected against Operation High Roller by the detection and prevention capabilities of both Trusteer Pinpoint and Trusteer Rapport.”

The webinar will cover the following three components of Operation High Roller:

1. Automated Consumer Attacks

2. Automated Server-based Attacks

3. Hybrid Automated/Manual Attacks against Marquee Business Accounts
