The winners of the IFSEC Security Industry Awards 2011 were last week made known at a formal dinner at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

The awards recognised the people, products and technological advancements that had shaped the security industry over the past year, and the ten winners were so recognized before the gathering of who is who (?) in the global security industry.

James Kelly, Chief Executive of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), who at the ceremony said: "For years the security sector has been at the forefront of innovation and technological development, so the IFSEC Awards are always a welcome platform to showcase the achievements of the industry in the past 12 months.

“All of this year’s candidates have made an outstanding contribution to our industry and the winners should be justly proud of their achievements and the recognition they have received. As usual, the announcement of the winners was made all the more special by the elegant and impressive ceremony that surrounded it.”

The IFSEC Security Industry Awards take place alongside the world’s leading annual security event, IFSEC.
