LONDON (UK): Lancope, Inc. unveils the new StealthWatch® FlowSensor 4000, delivering massive scalability for service providers and enterprise data centres. Substantially increasing the throughput for the FlowSensor appliance, the 4000 model provides greater visibility and security for large, complex networks, playing a key role in early detection of security incidents, more precise incident response, and better troubleshooting of network and application performance problems. The new appliance is scalable to up to 20 gigabytes of sustained bandwidth based on the customer’s environment, application mix and packet sizes.
“Some of the world’s largest and most respected companies have recently fallen victim to stealthy cyber-attacks, making pervasive network visibility critical for even the most seemingly impenetrable networks,” said Kerry Armistead, vice president of product management for Lancope. “Obtaining in-depth, application-level visibility has become a crucial component of network protection, and is especially critical for service providers that have millions of customers depending on them for reliable network availability and strong security. We are excited to further scale our FlowSensor offering so that it can be leveraged by virtually any organization out there – no matter how big, complex or dynamic.”
By exporting valuable flow data enriched with application details, the FlowSensor helps the StealthWatch System deliver the comprehensive visibility and actionable intelligence needed to identify a wide range of issues across high-speed data centres – from security threats to performance slowdowns and compliance violations. The FlowSensor 4000 enables service providers to more easily scale the advanced threat detection capabilities of the StealthWatch System across their entire network to protect both internal and customer environments.
