Advanced, integrated features including application control, user ID awareness and content security in a compact package; priced from 340 euros
Clavister has introduced the Clavister E5, an entry-level next-generation firewall (NGFW) in a desktop-sized package. The solution delivers enterprise-grade security for small or branch offices starting from just 340 euros.
The Clavister E5 is available in two versions; the entry-level E5 and the more powerful E5 Pro, giving up to 250Mbps firewall throughput and 100Mbps IPSec VPN throughput. Both models include full NGFW features such as application control, user identity awareness, IPSec and SSL VPN, and content security services including IPS, IDS, web content filtering and anti-virus.
Clavister’s True Application Control service enables in-depth analysis and management of application content, helping to identify Skype IDs, SQL queries, Facebook chat text, VoIP call information and more. Together with user identity awareness, this gives powerful, granular visibility and control over users’ access to applications across networks, enabling business-critical application usage to be prioritised and increasing overall business productivity.
John Vestberg, CEO of Clavister said: “With the new E5 products, we’re offering Clavister’s advanced security capabilities and performance at a break-through price point. This gives smaller businesses access to enterprise-strength protection, and ensures that branch office security is no longer a weak point for larger organisations. These products are ideal for deployment in multiple offices or where there is a need for centrally-managed, scalable network security.”
The E5 products are managed using Clavister InControl, a comprehensive centralised management console that helps administrators perform their daily tasks faster, easier and in a more streamlined way. Its task-driven workflow management and automation guides administrators through complex and repetitive processes, and supports distributed management of security devices and policies.
