“The community is really pulling together to make this another great B-Sides," said Paul Batson, one of the organisers. "There are some fantastic talks and workshops lined up again this year; all of which were decided on by the ticketholders themselves. Thomas and I really believe in the BSides concept of providing a free conference to allow those passionate about infosec to get together and talk about the things that really matter to the community.”
The conference keynote will be given by renowned industry speaker, Trey Ford, who was chief organiser for the annual Blackhat conference in Las Vegas and is currently global security strategist at Rapid7. He will present on the current proliferation of malware and other threats and discuss tactics for detection and containment.
Stephen Bonner, Partner KPMG (Information Protection and Business Resilience), said: “KPMG is proud to sponsor this year’s B-Sides conference; bringing together security professionals and the next generation under the one roof. KPMG knows that this is where the real conversations for the next-big-thing are happening; so we’re delighted to be both presenting and participating. We recognise the great talent and huge energy that B-Sides attracts so we look forward to hearing what you have to say.”
