Commenting on the increase in rail fares announced recently, Kevin Linsell, Head of Service Development, Adapt said:
Train fares have risen year on year for many decades now – the bank balances of businesses and commuters alike are likely to suffer under the government’s new plans to increase rail fares by a further 3.5% in 2015. Despite the desktop virtualisation solutions available, many businesses have failed to deploy successful alternatives to working from a single location. What businesses really need is a highly efficient, flexible strategy that enables employees to work from home and avoid ever-increasing travel expenses. Desktop as a Service (DaaS), for example, allows all workers to access a single desktop, regardless of location. DaaS effectively enables its users to immediately access systems from any device which is capable of accessing the internet. UK businesses will need to adopt DaaS to save costs, improve employee satisfaction and demonstrate flexibility.
