LONDON: IGEL has announced that it will be featuring its suite of software-defined solutions for simple, smart and secure end user computing (EUC) during the Nutanix .NEXT Europe Conference at ExCeL in London, from November 27 to 29. An event silver-level sponsor, IGEL will also be offering a fourth opportunity to win $20,000 as part of its IT Baller giveaway sweepstakes.
During the event, IGEL Global Technology Evangelist Doug Brown and Ruben Spruijt, Senior Technologist at Nutanix, will demonstrate how to “Deliver a Better User experience with IGEL, Frame, and Nutanix VDI” in the Sponsor Theater at 11am on November 29th. The 20-minute joint demonstration will show how IGEL OS is the perfect complement to Nutanix delivered virtual desktops and applications.
“For customers that use Nutanix infrastructure to support their Citrix virtual desktops, IGEL delivers powerfully simple endpoint management with unparalleled security,” said Simon Townsend, IGEL Chief Marketing Officer for EMEA. “It’s the perfect combination for any IT team that wants to lower the total cost of ownership for their EUC estate while future-proofing their endpoint investment.”
Among the customers using IGEL endpoint management with their Nutanix infrastructure and Citrix XenDesktop is Toppan Vintage. Toppan Vintage, headquartered in New York, is part of the Toppan Printing Group, the world’s largest printing group with approximately $14 billion in annual sales.
“The UMS is the management console we’d always hoped to find but didn’t get with our previous supplier. That’s why we switched to IGEL,” Thomas Mangan, Vice President, Information Technology and Production Design, Toppan Vintage. “I can’t say enough good things about it and, even though our fleet of UD3s isn't in the thousands, it’s of fundamental benefit. We define a policy and drag and drop this to individual IGEL devices or groups of installed endpoints, with firmware updates simplified too.”
